He then earned a masters degree in operations research in 2012 from Columbia. There are eight of what he calls spokes in data science. He graduated in 2011 from IISERs five-year dual science degree program with bachelors and masters degrees, with a concentration in mathematics. Continuing education is important, Anand says.
